Reisterstown, MD, December 5, 2024 – Healthcare Transactions Group, Inc. is proud to announce that it arranged and facilitated the sale of St. Elizabeth Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, a 162-bed licensed CMS Five-Star skilled nursing facility in Baltimore, Maryland. Associated Catholic Charities of Baltimore owned and operated St. Elizabeth, which has a history of over seventy-five years of distinguished service to the Baltimore community, formerly known as Jenkins Memorial Nursing Home. The transaction closed on December 1, 2024. The purchase price and other transaction details are confidential. This is the thirtieth Maryland post-acute facility arranged by the Healthcare Transactions Group.

The 77,623-square-foot skilled nursing facility constructed in 1992 is on Catholic Charities’ flagship 26-acre campus in Southwest Baltimore, adjacent to St. Agnes Hospital. St. Elizabeth’s nursing units and dining areas model a noninstitutional Greenhouse design. While St. Elizabeth will have its own 9-acre property, it will continue to share the campus with other Catholic Charities facilities, including assisted living, adult day care, and seniors housing. St. Elizabeth also houses a Chapel that will continue to be used by all campus residents.

In concert with Catholic Charities’ Board and executive leadership, Healthcare Transactions Group conducted a highly confidential, selective invite-only offering process to identify and select the best and most qualified long-term partner aligned with Catholic Charities’ mission and values. The buyer chosen was a Maryland-based nursing home operator with a family history of three generations of service in the long-term care sector.

Since 1996, Healthcare Transactions Group has been a recognized national leader in post-acute healthcare mergers & acquisitions, having closed over $3.5 billion in transactions in 37 states and the District of Columbia, with offices in Reisterstown, MD, Boynton Beach, FL, and St. Louis, MO. Mark Davis, Healthcare Transactions Group President, served as exclusive mergers and acquisition advisor to Associated Catholic Charities, with assistance from Daren Cortese.
