Healthcare Transactions Group is pleased to announce it arranged the sale of Azure Health Services, a for-profit provider of Residential and Supportive services in group homes to persons with intellectual disabilities, developmental disabilities, autism, and traumatic brain injury living in Washington D.C. Founded in 2003, Azure was one of the most respected and accomplished intellectual developmental disabilities in Washington DC. During the COVID outbreak, Azure’s facility had no cases of COVID among its residents. The transaction closed on June 1, 2021. Price and other details of the transaction are confidential.
Healthcare Transactions Group conducted a competitive buyer evaluation process to identify the right purchaser, whose track record, culture and acquisition capabilities were consistent with the Azure’s values. The buyer was a larger Maryland-based intellectual developmental disabilities, with an extensive network of group homes in Washington DC, enabling a rapid and seamless integration of the two organizations. A personal history and a strong cultural fit was enjoyed between Azure’s principals and those of the acquiring organization.
Since 1996, Healthcare Transactions Group has been a recognized national leader in post-acute healthcare mergers & acquisitions, with a niche in divesting facilities and services for the intellectual developmentally disabled, having closed over $2.5 billion in transactions in 36 states and in the District of Columbia.
